2024 Festival

The main 2024 Festival will be starting soon! It will run from Tuesday, 27 February. The Final Concert will be held on March 10 - book your tickets now!

The Concerto Class First Round was held in January:


During the Festival from 27 February to 10 March, any inquiries or withdrawals should be emailed to Sue Rodger: Late withdrawals on the day should be notified to Sue before 9 am, or to stewards at the Festival venue.


All performers should arrive at the start time of their class in case of changes to the running order which may occur after the publication of the programme. 

Timetables, venue map and Syllabus

Individual entrant timetables for the 2024 Festival have now been emailed out. Please get in touch if you have not received yours. An outline timetable and venue map are available, together with the Festival Syllabus for reference:

Performance Slip (formerly called the Own Choice Form)


To save time on arrival for a class, performers/teachers/parents can fill in the Performance Slip in advance detailing the works to be performed.   Download from here and print as many as you require:


Please remember to bring additional copies of your music for the adjudicator.   See Regulation 6 in the 2024 Syllabus regarding the rules on copyright and, where copyright applies, the need to perform from published parts.


Please also bring a music stand if you require one.

Final Concert

Tickets for the concert of Festival Highlights and the Concerto Final on 10 March starting at 6 pm are available here costing £15.   Tickets are free to ECFA members and to children, students and accompanied people with disabilities.

Adjudicator Update

All choir and singing classes will now be adjudicated by Marilynne Davies.

Martin Kershaw will lead the Jazz Workshop, and the Composition class will be adjudicated by Jena Pang.

Three adjudicators (Martin Wallington, Jena Pang and Martin Kershaw) will each adjudicate Chamber Music classes 51, 52 and 53 respectively.

John Wallace will join Martin Roscoe in judging the four finalists in the Concerto Class on Sunday, 10 March at St Cuthbert's Church.
