2026 Edinburgh Music Competition Festival
Entries for the 2026 are open now! This year we are using a new online entry platform, Play & Perform, for all entries including our legendary Concerto Class competition.

To enter online, look up the class you wish to enter in the Syllabus document. Then use the Play & Perform site to enter and pay.

Key dates for 2026 Festival:

Concerto Class first round: Friday 23 - Saturday 24 January

Main Festival: Tuesday 3 - Sunday 15 March

Rehearsal dates for Concerto Class finalists: Wednesday 11 - Thursday 12 March & afternoon of Sunday 15 March

Final concert including Concerto Class finale: Sunday 15 March

2025 Festival
The 2025 was concluded with the finale of the 2025 Concerto Class Competition.

Many congratulations to Ben-David Zasman who won the concerto class competition playing Saint-Saëns Piano Concerto No. 2. There were also wonderful performances by the other talented finalists:

About the Festival
The Festival is an annual event for amateur musicians of all ages. We offer competitive and non-competitive classes for instrumentalists, singers and ensembles to perform their pieces in a friendly environment. All our classes are overseen by a specialist adjudicator who provides supportive feedback on the performance.
